Welcome to Ivy Speech and Language

Specializing in developmentally appropriate and neurodiversity affirming assessment and treatment of children ages 18-months through elementary school (approximately 9 years).

About Us

After working in multiple settings and seeing the limitations, I decided to open Ivy Speech and Language to give parents and children the attention and quality of services they deserve.

As a parent, I know that we are our child's first and most important teachers. Because of this, parents are an integral part of assessment and treatment.

Keys to Success:

  • Mutual Respect
    • Between adults, and between adults and children.
  • Parental Involvement
    • Parents/caregivers are strongly encouraged to be present for assessments and treatment.
  • Home Carry Over
    • Practicing new skills at home and in the community is essential for progress and maintenance. We're here to support you every step of the way!
  • Open Communication
    • Responsive communication between adults is essential for smooth service delivery. Email/call with updates, questions, ideas, etc.

You are investing in your child, and our goal is to ensure that our time together is used as effectively as possible. Together we can help your child to make gains in their communication skills and enjoy themselves in the process!

We look forward to getting to know you and your child.

Sincerely,

Elena Smith

Collaboration with Occupational Therapists

Over the Top Therapy

Ivy Speech and Language is proud to be collaborating with Over the Top Therapy to help support the diverse needs of our families.

We were brought together through a shared family when we were working with their child individually. We started collaborating and co-treating and saw incredibly positive results!

Every child has individual needs, but many children benefit from occupational therapy in addition to speech therapy.
